Off Grid Camping

Pennant Igyn offers a peaceful off grid camping experience near Abersoch, set within 10 acres of private countryside on the beautiful Llŷn Peninsula. Surrounded by National Trust land and areas of outstanding natural beauty, it’s the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle, pitch your tent or park your roof tent, and reconnect with nature. With only one booking per field, you’ll enjoy complete privacy, uninterrupted views and a true sense of adventure.

Spend your days exploring some of North Wales’ most spectacular destinations, including Hell’s Mouth for surfing, the famous Ty Coch Inn at Morfa Nefyn, the sandy beaches of Abersoch, and the National Trust beach at Llanbedrog. Closer to home, The Ship Inn and Mynytho village shop are both just a mile away, making it easy to enjoy a meal or pick up camping essentials.

Our elevated fields offer panoramic views across the Llŷn Peninsula towards Snowdonia (Eryri), Anglesey and, on clear days, even the Wicklow Mountains in Ireland. Watch birds of prey soaring overhead, spot local wildlife and enjoy some of the area’s darkest night skies. Water and electricity are available, while shower and toilet facilities can be arranged by prior agreement.

If you’re looking for a few extra home comforts, take a look at Little Igyn, our cosy one bedroom annexe next door, offering the same peaceful location with all the comforts of indoor accommodation.

See The Site

Sometimes the best way to get a feel for a place is simply to see it. This short video gives you a closer look at the camping field, the open space around it and the kind of setting you can expect when you arrive.

Pennant Igyn is all about keeping things simple. There’s plenty of room to settle in, enjoy the peace and make the space your own, whether you’re pitching a tent or arriving with a roof tent setup.

The field has a relaxed, natural feel rather than that of a traditional campsite, giving you the freedom to switch off, enjoy the surroundings and spend your time outdoors without feeling crowded in.

For us, that sense of space and privacy is what makes staying here special. It’s somewhere to slow the pace down, enjoy a quieter kind of camping and make the most of being out in the countryside.

The setting really comes into its own once you’re here and can take in the views, the quiet and the open space around you.
